El año pasado acudí a una conferencia con un gurú del reciclaje. La conferencia duro un poco mas de 3 horas. Por el tipo de trabajo que desempeño, tengo oportunidad de acudir a este tipo de eventos frecuentemente. Al finalizar el evento me toco llevar al aeropuerto al conferencista y por supuesto la charla respecto a las actividades que realiza su compañia se llevo a cabo con el afan de encontrar algún punto de interés o negocios entre ambas partes. Para mantener contacto intercambiamos nuestras cuentas de facebook. A lo largo del año aprovechamos para invitarnos a distintos eventos culturales, en distintos lugares y paises. En mi caso no pude asistir a ninguno lamentablemente, pero reenvie las invitaciones que eran abiertas al público. Algunas de mis amistades acudieron a unos cuantos de estos eventos. El dia de ayer recibí información referente a la compañía de reciclaje, una posible oportunidad de negocios, no la envio mi amigo, fue una publicación abierta. En mi caso siempre estoy en búsqueda de oportunidades, asi que decidí informarme un poco más respecto a la misma. Así que primero me contacté con mi amigo para indicarle mi interés y le solicité un poco más de información. Me envió los datos específicos de las personas que están promoviendo esta oportunidad, nombres, teléfonos, correos electrónicos. Es pronto aún para que comente resultados, pero por lo pronto ya recibí en mi correo indicaciones mucho mas especificas de la información solicitada.
El mantener un contacto formal con personas que tienen poder de decisión en alguna empresa puede abrirte las puertas para avanzar en el alcance de tus objetivos.

Last year I listen to a recycling guru's conference. This event lasted 3 hours, and by the type of job I do, I had the opportunity to being invited frequently to this kind of events. At the end of the lecture, I took the speaker to the airport and of course we talked about the activities that his company realizes in order to seek some kind of networking between us. We shared our Facebook accounts, and in the following year we keep inviting us to different cultural events, at some different countries and cities. I regretfully couldn't participate at any of his invitations, but I shared to my social network some of the open invitations, I knew that some of my friends went to this events. Yesterday I read about a business opportunity from his recycling company, it wasn't sent by my friend, it was an open publication. I'm always seeking for this type of information, so I decided to go and search for more data. The first step I made was contacting my friend by inbox and tell him about my interest. He sent me the specific data of the people that were in charge of the business opportunity, names, phones and emails. It's really soon for me to know if it's going to work, but by today I had received some different instructions to start data gathering.
Once you had a business contact and this friend has decision power in some kind of company, it could open some doors that help you pursue your objectives.
