Pues les cuento que ayer tuve 2 conversaciones con un par de amigas, el tema de las mismas lo constituía la búsqueda de empleo. Coincidentalmente ambas están por concluir su MBA y durante sus estudios ambas tuvieron que decidir si continuar con sus estudios o continuar en sus empleos. Las dos renunciaron.
La charla con ambas giro en torno a como podíran utilizar sus contactos actuales o anteriores para mejorar la calidad de empleos que encontraron en sus respectivas búsquedas. Les cuento de las actividades que están realizando cada una de ellas.
La que vive en Ciudad de México, acudió con sus anteriores empleadores, en busqueda de alguna carta de recomendación. Al acudir por ella le comentaron de una posicion vacante que con sus nuevas habilidades podría cubrir. Moraleja: Hacer todo lo posible por cerrar las relaciones anteriores de negocios en los mejores terminos. En el caso de ella, esta cualidad le brindo la posibilidad de solicitar una recomendación y tambien un empleo.
El siguiente caso lo tiene la chica de Monterrey, ella acudió con los compañeros de generación, uno de ellos ocupa una posición estratégica donde la innovación se promueve. El haber convivido durante el programa de maestría le permitió conocer el nivel de responsabilidad y capacidad de trabajo de ella y de primera mano. Cuando se creo el perfil del puesto para la empresa, practicamente lo crearon tomando como base las cualidades y aptitudes de ella. Moraleja: Cuando te desempeñas de manera profesional en distintos ambitos, las personas lo recordarán y tratarán de crear oportunidades para mantener esa relación profesional. En la medida en que te rodeas de personas capaces tus propias capacidades se podrán ver aumentadas.

Let me tell you that yesterday I had 2 conversations with 2 different friends, for both of them the main theme was Job Search. Both of them are about to finish their MBA studies and both of them had to make the decision that at some point of their studies, abandon the school or abandon their jobs. Both of them resigned to their jobs. The chat with them focused on how their networking (the past one and the recently acquired) to get better job offers than those that where around the different internet posts. I can tell you about their different approaches.
The first one lives on Mexico City, she went with some of her former employers, in search for a recommendation letter. When she was at the company, they told her about a position that was about to be created and her new acquired skills could be helpful for this new position. Recommendation: Do everything that's in your possibilities to leave your past employers in the best terms. In this case, this quality lead her to ask for a recommendation and get a position.
The next case if for one girl from home town, Monterrey, she went with her study peers, one of them has an strategic position where innovation is developed at his company. The friendship and team work realized during their MBA program make him to know by first hand her responsibility and working ethics. When the new position profile was created, practically was created with my friends qualifications and aptitudes. Recommendation: When you make any kind of job and do it in a very professional way, people will remember and will try to create new opportunities to work with you, keeping this professional relationship with people professional is a way to promote your own capacities.
